AS Roma's move for the 2007-born Cacciamani, currently used as a wing-back in Ignazio Abate's 3-4-2-1 system, comes after the club's efforts to land Rodrigo Mora from Porto stalled.
Torino president Urbano Cairo, negotiating personally, has publicly stated his preference to keep hold of the player, but has set a price of around €20m to do so - a figure he hopes further departures elsewhere in the squad, such as Ivan Ilic or Che Adams, could help justify turning down.
Any deal would reportedly tie Cacciamani to Roma until 2031. On loan at Juve Stabia in Serie B last season, Cacciamani made 36 appearances, 28 as a starter, scoring twice and providing two assists.
At the same time, Torino are working to bring in Cisse, a 2006-born attacking midfielder Milan signed from Verona in January for around €8m plus bonuses before loaning him to Catanzaro. Cisse has been sidelined for a lengthy spell after rupturing his adductor tendon, only returning to action in recent friendlies against Celtic and Inter Milan.
AC Milan have given the go-ahead for a loan to Torino, but have ruled out including any option to buy, wanting to retain full control over the player's development.
Born in Treviso to Guinean parents and raised between Giorgione and Verona, Cisse already made his Serie A debut in May 2024 and has represented Italy at various youth levels up to Under-21. At Torino he could feature just behind Nikola Vlasic and Cesare Casadei, in a role also open to Ivan Oristanio - and one that would grow more urgent if Cacciamani's exit for Roma goes through.
Sporting director Gianluca Petrachi had signalled before Saturday's friendly against Avellino that Torino's transfer business was far from finished, with the club continuing to work on multiple fronts as their competitive season approaches. The imminent arrival of goalkeeper Franco Perri is also expected to be finalised shortly.
