Manchester City are closing in on selling the Dutch midfielder for €61million.
Reijnders would sign an initial four-year contract with the Saudi Pro League club, with an option for a fifth season. That guarantees him at least €80million, rising beyond €100million should he see out the full five years, a significant increase on the roughly €7million a year he has earned at City since joining from AC Milan just over a year ago.
The 28-year-old skipped City training on Thursday, a clear signal he wanted to avoid any risk of injury before completing the switch. Nottingham Forest had also been credited with interest in Reijnders in recent weeks, but Al-Qadsiah have moved decisively, agreeing a transfer fee of €61million that comfortably outbid the Premier League club.
City signed Reijnders from AC Milan for around €55million last summer, meaning a €61million sale would represent a modest profit on their investment after a single season in Manchester.
The Netherlands international made close to 50 appearances in all competitions for City last term, contributing seven goals and eight assists as the club won both domestic cups, but reportedly found it difficult to secure a regular starting role under Pep Guardiola.
Al-Qadsiah, managed by former Liverpool and Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, have been building an ambitious squad and see Reijnders as a marquee addition to their midfield.
His departure would leave new City manager Enzo Maresca with fresh funds to reinvest in the squad before the transfer window closes, with the club's midfield already reshaped following the exits of several senior players this summer.
