Former Everton fullback Dave Jones admits he's been bowled over by the club's new Hill Dickinson stadium.

The former Southampton and Wolves manager spent five years at Everton, his hometown club, having originally come through the club's youth system.

With Everton, Jones broke into England's U21 team and helped the Toffees to the League Cup final in the 1976/77 season, where they were beaten by Aston Villa in front of 100,000 fans at Wembley.

Reflecting on the new stadium, Jones has no doubts about where it stands across Europe and around the world - rating the pitch itself as arguably among the very best on the planet.
