Former Ipswich Town chairman David Sheepshanks recalls how the sale of Mauricio Taricco to Tottenham rescued the club from financial collapse.
The problem was that in his final game before the move, Taricco suffered a serious Achilles injury, putting both the move and Ipswich itself in jeopardy.
However, then Spurs football chief David Pleat was good for his word and agreed to complete the move despite the injury.
