Venezia are pushing ahead with two separate deals this week, closing in on a verbal agreement to sign Sevilla striker Akor Adams while confirming the signing of goalkeeper Alessio Pozzi from Vis Pesaro on a permanent deal.

Talks between the two clubs' sporting directors over Adams have intensified in Seville in recent days, with an understanding in place that both sides hope to formalise into contracts by the weekend.

Sevilla are believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of โ‚ฌ15m plus performance-related add-ons, which would represent a significant profit on the roughly โ‚ฌ5.5m they paid Montpellier for the Nigerian striker back in January 2025. Adams only rejoined his Sevilla teammates for pre-season on Thursday having been given a few extra days off, but his stay looks set to be brief if the move goes through as expected.

The 26-year-old, a powerful 1.90m frontman, improved steadily through the campaign and finished the season having played 37 official matches for Sevilla, scoring 10 goals and adding four assists โ€” form that played a part in the club avoiding relegation.

His sale would help ease Sevilla's wage bill as the club looks to register incoming signings, with the club also negotiating an exit for defender Tanguy Nianzou and working to find destinations for other players no longer part of the first-team plans.

Venezia's other addition is already over the line. Vis Pesaro have confirmed the permanent sale of goalkeeper Alessio Pozzi, who arrived in Pesaro in January 2025 and quickly established himself as one of the standout performers of the 2025-26 season, making 35 official appearances and keeping 12 clean sheets while earning the affection of the club's supporters. The 25-year-old has signed a deal running until 2030, capping a steady rise through Italy's lower divisions that included spells at Carpi, Pistoiese, Triestina and Trapani before he found a home at Vis Pesaro.

Both moves reflect a busy summer for Venezia as the newly promoted side strengthens across multiple positions ahead of its return to Serie A. Landing Adams would give head coach Giovanni Stroppa a physical, experienced presence up front with proven pedigree in a major European league, while Pozzi arrives as a long-term option between the posts following his rapid rise through the Italian pyramid.
