ESPN Brasil reported the player's position, making clear that Savinho is fully committed to the idea of joining Tottenham under Roberto De Zerbi and is eager to remain in English football rather than return to Brazil or move elsewhere in Europe.
Tottenham pushed hard for Savinho last summer. Pep Guardiola was unwilling to sanction any departure, believing the 21-year-old Brazilian winger could still develop into an important City player despite a mixed debut season that produced four goals and two assists in 35 appearances. Guardiola has since departed after ten years and City's stance has softened considerably under the new structure around incoming head coach Enzo Maresca.
Manchester City's current valuation is understood to be approximately £50m — a figure lower than Tottenham were prepared to discuss in 2025, reflecting a season in which Savinho also missed time through a thigh problem that interrupted any genuine momentum.
Spurs signed Savinho for Girona — a City Football Group club — in the summer of 2024 before he moved to the Etihad Stadium. De Zerbi's history of developing technically gifted attackers at Brighton and Marseille is understood to be one of the key factors in Savinho's decision.
A formal bid is expected imminently.
