Leeds United have agreed a four-year contract with Harry Wilson, securing the Fulham attacker on a free transfer as the club's first signing of the summer.

Wilson, 29, joins on the expiry of his Fulham contract at the end of June after the Craven Cottage club tried and failed to keep him, offering multiple new deals to their player of the season for 2025-26. David Ornstein confirmed the agreement, with Wilson due to undergo a medical before the deal is formalised in the coming days.

The move ends a 12-month pursuit by Leeds United that dated to last summer, when a deal collapsed on deadline day after Fulham blocked the transfer following complications with a separate move involving Chelsea winger Tyrique George.

Leeds maintained contact with Wilson's representatives throughout and ultimately outmuscled interest from Premier League rivals including Aston Villa and Everton to secure his signature.

Wilson produced the best season of his career at Fulham in 2025-26, registering 11 goals and eight assists in 38 appearances across all competitions — a goal involvement every other game. He joined Fulham from Liverpool in 2021 for £12m and leaves having made over 150 appearances for the Cottagers.

He offers Leeds versatility across the attack, operating predominantly as a right winger but capable of playing as a number 10 or on the left. His set-piece delivery is an additional asset for a club that was thin on creative options in their Premier League campaign last season.

Leeds remain in pursuit of further reinforcements. Germany international Julian Brandt is available as a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund, though the 30-year-old is attracting interest from Champions League clubs. An initial bid of around £20m for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles has been rejected, but Leeds remain in negotiations for the 22-year-old Northern Ireland international.

Fulham, still without a manager following Marco Silva's departure to Benfica, are in advanced talks to appoint former Liverpool defender Álvaro Arbeloa.
