Manchester United Champions League winner and MUTV pundit Wes Brown insists Chido Obi remains in the club's long-term plans.

After joining from Arsenal following the beginning of last season, Obi - at 17 - was handed a run of first team appearances by manager Ruben Amorim towards the end of the campaign.

However, so far this season, United fans haven't seen the centre-forward, with attacking signings Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko blocking his first team path.

But rather than be despondent, Brown insists time with the U21s can be good for Obi's development and also reveals how highly United's coaching staff regard the Denmark U21 international's ability and potential.
