Tottenham's interest in the 21-year-old has now been corroborated by ESPN Brazil journalist Andre Hernan, who named Spurs among the clubs monitoring the player, alongside interest from Italy.
According to Hernan, Coritiba see Ronier's ideal path mirroring that of Matheus Cunha, who left the Brazilian club early in his career, built his reputation in Germany, and eventually earned a Premier League move - a development blueprint rather than a prediction of an identical career, with the sale timed to maximise both fee and readiness for Europe.
Despite the growing interest, Hernan reports Coritiba are not actively pushing Ronier out of the door, with the board yet to receive an offer they consider convincing.
"Coritiba are playing hardball over Lucas Ronier because they know they have a gem on their hands," he said. "The club have no great desire to sell him and, so far, no offer has really caught the attention of the board in this new phase the club are going through."
Hernan added that the club do, however, expect the current window to produce serious proposals as the market for the winger continues to develop.
Interest is not limited to Europe. Hernan's report notes that Palmeiras held internal discussions about Ronier during the January window, while unspecified Italian clubs are also said to be keeping tabs on the situation - underlining the scale of competition building around one of Coritiba's most highly rated academy products, even with Tottenham's involvement still at the monitoring stage.
Ronier has around 18 months left on his contract, which runs until the end of December 2027, according to Transfermarkt - a timeline understood to be shaping Coritiba's approach as they look to negotiate from a position of strength.
The club have already twice rejected offers from Saudi Pro League side Neom for the winger, according to TransferFeed, reinforcing their stance that any European suitor will need to match, or beat, the valuation already turned down from the Gulf.
