Maghnes Akliouche has given the clearest indication yet that he expects to leave AS Monaco during the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after attacking players in French football after establishing himself as a key figure for the Principality club.

His performances have not gone unnoticed.

Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with the France international in recent months as interest in his situation continues to grow. Speaking to Nice-Matin, Akliouche admitted that a transfer is likely to represent the next stage of his career.

"Will the next step be a transfer this summer? Yes, but honestly I am really focused on this World Cup."

The attacker made it clear, however, that his immediate attention remains on international duty rather than discussions over his future.

Akliouche is currently concentrating on helping France achieve success on the biggest stage.

"I know that anything can happen, even during the competition. It is a fantastic opportunity to be seen, but I continue to focus on the national team's objectives."

The Monaco star also stressed that he does not want speculation over a transfer to overshadow his commitments to either club or country.

"I also do not want to show my club any disrespect by talking about the transfer window now. There are other things to deal with."

Those comments are likely to fuel further speculation surrounding his future.

Akliouche has been one of Monaco's standout performers since breaking into the senior squad and has developed into one of the club's most influential attacking players.

His technical ability, creativity and versatility have made him an attractive option for clubs looking to strengthen in forward areas. Monaco are well aware of the growing interest. While the Ligue 1 side would prefer to retain one of their most valuable assets, they have a long history of developing talent before sanctioning high-value sales when the timing is right.

That model has helped the club remain competitive while generating significant transfer revenue over the years.

The coming weeks could therefore prove decisive. Strong performances on the international stage would only increase Akliouche's profile and potentially strengthen Monaco's position in any negotiations.

For interested clubs, his latest comments will be viewed as encouragement. The player has stopped short of naming a preferred destination, but he has openly acknowledged that a move is on the horizon.

With some of Europe's biggest clubs already tracking his progress, the race for Akliouche's signature could become one of the most closely watched stories of the summer transfer window.
