Almada is in negotiations with Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli, with the club offering around €30 million to Atletico Madrid for the Argentine midfielder, according to TYC Sports.
The 25-year-old joined Atlético from Botafogo in July 2025 for a fee covering fifty per cent of his economic rights, valued at approximately €21 million — placing his total valuation at roughly €40 million. An Al Ahli offer at €30 million would represent a profit on that stake if the deal pertains to their share alone.
Almada has struggled for consistent playing time under Diego Simeone since his arrival at the Wanda Metropolitano. The World Cup winner with Argentina in 2022 and Copa Libertadores winner with Botafogo in 2024 has found it difficult to establish himself in LaLiga, with a lack of minutes intensifying speculation over his future throughout the season.
Al Ahli's reported figure is considerably higher than the interest shown by other parties. River Plate had been connected with a move at around €17 million, well below the Saudi club's proposal.
No formal agreement has been reached. Whether Atlético are willing to sell a player under contract until 2030 at that price remains to be seen, though the financial logic of recovering their investment — and more — after just one season gives the club options.
