According to Estadio Deportivo, Beşiktaş, Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion and Trabzonspor have all entered the race for the 28-year-old, intensifying competition for a player Sevilla have already been trying to sell.
Vargas has made 37 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing five goals and seven assists, and Sevilla are working to secure a significant fee as they look to fund further signings for head coach Luis García Plaza.
The Andalusian club are said to be confident of recouping around €15million for the Swiss international, though other reports in Spain suggest Sevilla's valuation sits closer to €20million after they turned down an offer of roughly €12million from Olympiacos and a lower bid from Bournemouth earlier in the window.
Vargas joined Sevilla from Bundesliga side Augsburg in January 2025 for a fee in the region of €2.5million and has since become a regular contributor from wide areas under two different head coaches. He is contracted at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán until 2029, giving Sevilla some leverage in negotiations despite the player's stated willingness to move on.
The Switzerland international has earned 67 senior caps and scored 13 goals for his country, and his versatility across both flanks has made him a target for clubs in England, Turkey and Greece alike this summer.
Should a deal be struck, it would mark Vargas's second transfer inside two years after a productive spell in La Liga.
The five confirmed suitors are far from the only clubs keeping tabs on the winger. Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Leeds United and Sunderland have all been linked with Vargas at various points this summer, underlining the scale of Premier League interest in a player Sevilla signed only 18 months ago.
Vargas began his career at Kriens before a move to Luzern, from where Augsburg signed him in 2019 for around €4million.
He spent five and a half seasons in the Bundesliga before Sevilla moved for him in the 2024–25 campaign. With the club determined to raise funds before the window closes on 1 September, his departure now appears increasingly likely.
