The Dutchman joined Lazio from Ajax in January 2026 in a deal worth around €17million including bonuses. He has made an immediate impact in Italy, recording two goals and two assists in 10 Serie A appearances.
Taylor has impressed under both Maurizio Sarri and his successor Gennaro Gattuso, helping Lazio establish themselves at the top of the table. His performances have attracted attention from the Premier League, with Brighton and Bournemouth among the clubs to have made initial enquiries.
The interest is understood to be at an early stage, with no formal offers reported. Lazio are not considering a mid-season departure, particularly given Taylor’s importance to their plans.
The 24-year-old is not the only Lazio player attracting attention. Gustav Isaksen has also made significant progress, scoring four goals in 10 league appearances and becoming an increasingly important attacking option.
The Danish winger’s improved form has prompted Lazio to begin discussions over a new contract. His current agreement runs until June 2028, but the club would like to extend it to at least 2030 and improve his salary.
Lazio are keen to reach an agreement before the end of the season, believing a longer contract would strengthen their position if other clubs make approaches.
Isaksen joined from Midtjylland in 2023 for approximately €15million and has increased his value through his recent performances. The club are therefore looking to act before interest in the forward develops into concrete offers.
While Taylor’s situation is being monitored by English clubs, Lazio’s immediate priority is to retain the midfielder and protect the progress of a squad that has made a strong start to the campaign.
