Venezia have confirmed the signing of Polish winger Kornel Lisman from Lech Poznań on a permanent deal, and have also identified free-agent defender Takehiro Tomiyasu as a potential addition.

The two moves reflect Venezia's determination to make a meaningful push in the top flight after winning promotion as champions of the second division.

Lisman, born on 20 February 2006, came through the Lech Poznań academy and went on to make 65 appearances for the club across the first team and the B team, scoring eight goals and contributing four assists. He also gained European experience, featuring in the UEFA Conference League and in qualifying rounds for the Champions League and Europa League, scoring once in the latter.

Lisman won two consecutive Polish league titles with Lech in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons and has represented Poland at Under-18 and Under-20 level.

In a message to supporters on the club's official channels, Lisman explained what drew him to the move.

"I decided to join Venezia because the club had been following me for a year and that really struck me," he said. "I felt great trust from director Antonelli, who explained the club and its plans to me in detail. This is a great opportunity and a pleasure for me, because Venezia is an important club with extraordinary fans and an incredible atmosphere at the stadium.

"I also saw the great support of the fans even in difficult moments, and that really impressed me. I love this project and I feel it is the right place for me. To the fans I simply want to say that I will always give my maximum on the pitch and that I will fight for this team until the last minute. See you soon at the stadium!"

In addition to Lisman's arrival, Venezia have identified Tomiyasu as a potential defensive reinforcement. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the club are interested in the Japan international, who is currently without a club after his short-term contract at Ajax expired at the end of the season. The 27-year-old, before joining Arsenal, previously played in Serie A with Bologna between 2019 and 2021, a period that confirmed his quality at the level Venezia are preparing to re-enter.

Tomiyasu is currently with Japan at the World Cup, where their campaign continues against Brazil in the round of 32, meaning any transfer decision is likely to be deferred until after the tournament concludes.
