VfB Stuttgart confirmed the renewal on their official website. Undav contributed 25 goals and 14 assists across 46 competitive appearances this season โ a return that placed him among the most dangerous forwards in the Bundesliga and prompted interest from multiple clubs in England and Spain.
The 29-year-old joined Stuttgart on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2023 before the move was made permanent. He spoke at length about the attachment he has developed to the city and the club since his arrival.
"I am overjoyed to continue my career at Stuttgart," Undav said. "This early contract extension means so much to me.
"The club and the city have become my second home over the last three years โ from day one, everyone welcomed me and my family with open arms and a lot of love. That is why it is always so important for me to repay that faith through my goals and my performances.
"I am really looking forward to spending many more years as part of the VfB family and enjoying much more success."
Undav has scored 57 goals and contributed 30 assists across 117 competitive appearances for Stuttgart in total. His six goals in eight appearances for Germany's senior national team this season have placed him firmly in Thomas Tuchel's World Cup plans.
Brighton retain a sell-on clause from the original transfer. The extension will not prevent that clause from applying to any future sale, but it signals clearly that Stuttgart have no intention of entertaining bids this summer.
