Tottenham set bargain basement price for Richarlison

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly placed a €10 million price tag on Richarlison, with Galatasaray and Trabzonspor monitoring the striker ahead of the January transfer window.

According to ESPN, Spurs could be willing to sell the Brazil international for that amount in January rather than risk losing him without a fee when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Richarlison, 29, joined Tottenham from Everton in 2022 in a deal reported to be worth around €58 million. He has made 134 appearances for the north London club, scoring 32 goals, but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter throughout his time in England.

The forward enjoyed a more productive spell last season, registering 11 goals and five assists despite Tottenham’s difficult campaign. His opportunities have been much more limited this term, however, and he has reportedly been included in a Premier League matchday squad only once.

That lack of involvement has increased uncertainty over his future, particularly with the club facing a decision over whether to cash in before his contract runs out.

Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are reported to be among the leading candidates to pursue him. Both could view the relatively low asking price as an opportunity to add an experienced international forward, although there is no confirmation that either has submitted an offer.

A January sale would allow Tottenham to recoup at least some of their investment rather than lose Richarlison for nothing in the summer. The reported €10 million valuation would nevertheless represent a substantial reduction on the fee paid to Everton four years ago.

For Richarlison, a move could offer the prospect of more regular football after a frustrating period in north London. His next destination remains uncertain, and any transfer would depend on a club agreeing terms with Tottenham and reaching an agreement with the player.

For now, the reported asking price and Turkish interest suggest that the January window could provide a decisive moment in Richarlison’s Tottenham career.
