Tottenham and Fulham circle Coritiba winger Ronier as transfer window pressure builds

Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham are both monitoring Brazilian winger Lucas Ronier ahead of the summer transfer window, with Coritiba aware this could be their last realistic opportunity to command maximum value for him.

The Brazilian club have not received an official proposal but are braced for approaches as Ronier's contract enters its final 18 months. His deal at Coritiba runs until December 2027, and the club are determined not to find themselves in a weaker negotiating position when the next window arrives.

Fresh reporting from Brazilian outlet Um Dois Esportes reveals that Ronier and goalkeeper Pedro Morisco are considered the club's two most valuable assets, in terms of both first-team importance and potential sale value.

Ronier has posted three goals and three assists in 22 appearances this season, adding to the seven goals and two assists he contributed during Coritiba's promotion-winning campaign last year. He operates primarily from the right wing — though is left-footed — and regularly drifts inside to act as a creative hub.

His Série A statistics for successful dribbles place him in the top four in the division, and his low centre of gravity and futsal-influenced technique make him exceptionally difficult to stop in tight spaces at 5ft 4in.

Coritiba rejected a £9.4m offer from Saudi side Neom two years ago when Ronier made clear his priority was a move to Europe. His release clause stands at €60m, though the club would expect any realistic summer proposal to fall below that given the contract timeline. Coritiba's record sale is the £6.8m they received for Igor Paixão when he joined Feyenoord in 2022.

Flamengo have also been linked domestically, reinforcing that pressure from multiple directions is building around the player's future.

Neither Tottenham nor Fulham have yet moved to a formal offer stage. For Tottenham, Ronier offers a different attacking option to those already in the squad and could step into the void created by Xavi Simons's long-term injury. For Fulham, he would provide a contrasting wide option to the now departed Harry Wilson.
