Silva has been directly involved in as many goals as he has made appearances this season, contributing five goal involvements in five competitive matches for Niko Kovac's side so far this campaign.
Against SC Paderborn, in a 3-0 win, the forward started alongside Serhou Guirassy, 30, for the first time this season, and was immediately teed up for a goal by his strike partner inside the opening five minutes of the contest.
"He's clearly in a good spell right now, and Dortmund can be happy to have him," Wohlgemuth acknowledged.
Silva joined Borussia Dortmund from Wolverhampton Wanderers for around €22.5 million in the summer of 2025, and endured a below-par debut campaign before finding his feet alongside Guirassy this season, having previously often been used as an impact substitute rather than a starter under Kovac.
The Portuguese forward's improved form comes at a good time for Dortmund, who have been without injured summer signings Giannis Konstantelias and Konstantinos Karetsas in attack, forcing Kovac to lean more heavily on his established options up front in recent weeks.
Wohlgemuth's admission underlines the level of interest Silva has attracted across the Bundesliga since his move from the Premier League, even as he continues to develop his partnership alongside Guirassy at Signal Iduna Park.
