Strasbourg are lining up a raid on BlueCo sister club Chelsea for three first-team players, led by forward Deivid Washington's proposed permanent move.

Brazilian forward Deivid Washington is first in line, with a permanent transfer to the Ligue 1 side under discussion after his development at Stamford Bridge stalled since arriving as a teenager from Santos in 2023.

He was sent back to Santos on loan in 2025, and with Emanuel Emegha now arrived from Strasbourg, Danny Welbeck signed and Joao Pedro's contract extended, regular football at Chelsea looks increasingly out of reach.

Strasbourg are owned by the same Todd Boehly-fronted BlueCo consortium that controls Chelsea, and the two clubs have done extensive business together in recent windows. Should Washington's move go through, he would be followed by 20-year-old forward Omari Kellyman, who is also being lined up for a permanent switch, reportedly including a buy-back clause for Chelsea, according to L'Équipe.

The former Aston Villa prospect spent last season on loan at Cardiff City.

A third departure could follow in midfielder Dario Essugo, who joined Chelsea from Sporting for close to £19m last summer and is now attracting interest from Strasbourg as they look to strengthen their central midfield options, potentially on a season-long loan. Reports in France suggest the 21-year-old Portugal youth international would be open to the move as he looks for regular first-team football.

Strasbourg's rapid recruitment drive under BlueCo ownership has already seen the club sign nine players between the ages of 18 and 24 this summer, and with no European football to plan for next season, sporting director David Weir has room to accommodate further additions from Chelsea's academy pipeline before the window shuts.

Were all three moves completed, it would take the total number of transfers between the sister clubs this window to five. Goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen and defender Genesis Antwi have already arrived at Strasbourg on loan, while goalkeeper Mike Penders, defender Aaron Anselmino and forward David Datro Fofana have returned to Chelsea after loan spells in Alsace.

In the other direction, Strasbourg have sent Emegha and Valentin Barco to Stamford Bridge on permanent deals, continuing a pattern of business between the two clubs that has intensified since BlueCo completed its takeover of the French club.
