Chelsea are preparing to offer Estêvão a new contract as they look to secure the future of the Brazilian teenager amid speculation over his Stamford Bridge role.

The 19-year-old joined the club from Palmeiras in the summer of 2025 in a deal worth up to €65million, including bonuses, and has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the squad.

However, his playing time has been limited under Xabi Alonso, prompting speculation that he could seek a move away during the January transfer window. Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with the Brazil international.

Chelsea have no intention of allowing him to leave, according to Spanish newspaper AS, and regard him as a central part of their long-term plans.

The club are instead looking to reward the winger with improved terms, with discussions with his representatives reportedly already under way.

Estêvão’s current contract runs until 2033, but Chelsea are prepared to increase his salary as a sign of their confidence in his future. The club believe he has the potential to become a major figure at Stamford Bridge and want to make clear that they see him as part of the project.

The Brazilian’s recent appearance against Manchester United provided a reminder of his ability. Given a starting opportunity, he impressed and showed the attacking threat that made him such a highly sought-after prospect at Palmeiras.

He made 22 Premier League appearances during his first season in England, scoring twice and providing two assists, although only 12 of those outings came from the start.

His international progress has also been notable, with six goals in 14 senior appearances for Brazil.

The reports of a possible January departure have therefore been met with a clear response from Chelsea. Rather than consider a sale, the club are looking to strengthen their commitment to Estêvão and ensure he remains part of their plans for the years ahead.
