Fiorentina are being identified as a potential summer destination for Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall, with sporting director Fabio Paratici understood to be keen on reuniting with the Swede he helped bring to north London.

Paratici departed Tottenham in February to take up his role at Fiorentina, having originally been part of the setup that signed Bergvall from Djurgårdens IF in 2024. Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio has named Fiorentina as an "option" for the 20-year-old should he become available in the summer window.

"Their sports director Fabio Paratici likes young players, and especially Bergvall," Di Marzio said. "So they could try to sign him if his future does not lie in Tottenham. If he is on the market, Fiorentina will try."

Di Marzio added context around the current situation at Spurs. "To be honest, Roberto De Zerbi and Tottenham are currently only focused on staying in the Premier League. They are not listening to offers, and they have not even decided which players they want to keep or sell. If I were to name a club that I think could potentially sign Lucas Bergvall if Tottenham were to let him leave, I think Fiorentina is an option."

Bergvall has struggled for consistency this season after a promising first campaign that earned him Tottenham's player of the season award. Both Aston Villa and Chelsea approached the club in January, with Bergvall choosing to remain at Spurs. He is contracted until 2031, having signed an extension last year.

Tottenham are currently in the relegation zone and without a Premier League win in the calendar year, which adds uncertainty to their planning for next season regardless of division.
