The 22-year-old Italian forward has scored seven times in eight 2. Bundesliga appearances this season, according to Bundesliga statistics, and is under contract at the Max-Morlock-Stadion until June 2029.
AreaNapoli reported on Sunday that Napoli are among the clubs monitoring Zoma, alongside AS Roma, Premier League sides Bournemouth and Brentford. The report describes growing interest in a player who has quickly become one of Nürnberg’s most productive attacking options.
Zoma joined the German club from Italian third-tier side AlbinoLeffe in August 2025. He had scored 13 goals and supplied eight assists in 35 appearances for AlbinoLeffe during the previous campaign, helping establish himself as a forward worth a move abroad.
Nürnberg are understood to have rejected an offer from West Ham United worth €20m during the summer transfer window. The latest report says the club now value Zoma at more than €30m, a figure that would represent a significant increase on the rejected bid.
That asking price may shape how the interest develops ahead of the next transfer window. Napoli and Roma would be competing with Premier League clubs for a player who has adapted quickly to German football, but no agreement or formal bid from the four clubs has been confirmed.
Zoma’s contract gives Nürnberg a degree of control over the situation, with three years still remaining after the current season. The club can therefore insist on a fee that reflects his current form rather than risk losing him cheaply.
The report also says Zoma has recently made his senior Italy debut, with one appearance to date, adding to the attention surrounding his rise. Born in Merate on 15 December 2003, he is eligible for Italy and Côte d’Ivoire.
For now, the reported interest remains at the monitoring stage. Whether one of the clubs is prepared to meet Nürnberg’s valuation will determine if the speculation turns into a concrete move. The reported asking price is not a release clause, and there is no indication that Nürnberg are obliged to accept an offer at that level. Any potential deal would also depend on the player’s wishes and the clubs’ willingness to move beyond initial scouting interest.
