The Slovenian outlet reports that Nottingham Forest have shown interest in the 22-year-old, though it remains unclear how concrete their pursuit is at this stage.
Kuzmić, who came through the academies of Ilirija and Mura before moving to Denmark, impressed strongly for Viborg last season and has represented Slovenia at every youth level up to under-21, as well as making his senior international debut in January 2024.
Dinamo Zagreb had previously shown strong, concrete interest in Kuzmić, reportedly preparing an offer of around €1.3 million, but a deal ultimately fell through after Viborg held out for a higher valuation, believed to be in excess of €2 million alongside a sell-on clause.
Toulouse, backed by American investment firm RedBird Capital, have also been tracking the defender for some time. With Kuzmić entering the final year of his contract, which runs until the summer of 2027, Viborg are aware this transfer window represents their best remaining opportunity to secure a significant fee for one of their more sought-after players.
Nottingham Forest's entry into the race adds a new dimension to the pursuit, given the club's ownership ties to Greek billionaire Evangelos Marinakis, who also owns Olympiacos and Portuguese side Rio Ave. Viborg's sporting director, Mads Agesen, has previously discussed the level of interest in Kuzmić earlier in the transfer window, though no formal offers from any of the interested clubs have yet been confirmed.
A right-footed defender who has spent much of this season playing on the left rather than his more natural right-back position, Kuzmić has drawn praise for adapting well to the switch, contributing at both ends of the pitch for a Viborg side that continues to develop young talent for sale to bigger leagues.
Slovenia's under-21 coach has also handed him regular game time at international level, raising his profile among scouts. Should Forest formalise their interest, it would represent a significant step up in level for a player who has spent his entire senior career so far in the Danish Superliga.
