Liverpool have agreed a £300 million front-of-shirt deal with Turkish Airlines, ending a 17-year partnership with Standard Chartered from next season.

The agreement, worth more than £60 million a year, will see Turkish Airlines branding appear across the men's, women's and academy kits from June 2027, with Liverpool describing it as among the most lucrative front-of-shirt deals in Premier League history, comparable to those held by Manchester United and Manchester City.

The airline, which flies to more airports worldwide than any of its competitors, is also expected to invest heavily in the club beyond the shirt sponsorship itself.

It replaces a 17-year relationship with Standard Chartered, understood to have been worth around £50 million a year in its most recent form, making the new agreement a significant financial upgrade for the club. Standard Chartered will continue as a global partner even after losing its position on the front of the shirt.

"This is a milestone announcement for us and we are delighted to welcome Turkish Airlines as our main club partner from June 2027," said chief commercial officer Ben Latty.

"The front of the Liverpool shirt holds a special place in the history of our club. Turkish Airlines is a globally recognised organisation with an extensive international network, and we look forward to beginning our partnership and building a strong relationship together, with already strong foundations built from those special memories back in 2005."

That reference points to Liverpool's dramatic 2005 Champions League triumph in Istanbul, where they came back from 3-0 down to beat AC Milan on penalties in the final that became known as the Miracle of Istanbul. The new deal will be just the third permanent shirt sponsor in 35 years, following Carlsberg's 18-year spell from 1992 to 2010 and Standard Chartered's tenure since.

Liverpool say a shirt bearing their name is sold somewhere in the world every 20 seconds, and the club operates more standalone retail stores than any other, having recently opened a new outlet on London's Oxford Street as part of a broader push to expand its commercial footprint beyond Merseyside and grow revenue outside of matchday and broadcast income.
