With the move for Suzuki having collapsed, Juventus could reopen talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Chevalier, who has fallen down the pecking order in Paris behind Matvey Safonov and the same Suzuki, arriving from Parma for more than €35m, according to Sportmediaset.
Chevalier made 26 appearances in all competitions last season, starting 17 of PSG's 22 Ligue 1 matches, conceding 13 goals and keeping nine clean sheets, with a further six Champions League appearances that yielded ten goals conceded, ten saves and one clean sheet. PSG won 12, drew three and lost two of the league matches he started.
Meanwhile, Monza could offer Juventus a way out of their goalkeeping impasse in the opposite direction. Di Gregorio, left out of Juventus's squad for the opening weekend of the season, has become surplus to requirements in Turin after just two seasons and 84 appearances since his move from Monza in 2024.
According to Sky Sport, there have been no formal negotiations between the two clubs yet, but a return to Brianza — the club that developed him before his step up to Serie A's biggest stage — remains under consideration as Juventus continue searching for a long-term successor.
The goalkeeping situation has become one of the more chaotic subplots of Juventus's summer, with the club having previously explored deals for Guglielmo Vicario, Emiliano Martínez and Anatoliy Trubin before turning to Chevalier as a fresh option.
Any deal to bring back the Frenchman would represent a reunion of sorts for the two clubs, given Juventus and PSG have already worked together this summer on Randal Kolo Muani's return to Turin.
Chevalier joined PSG from Lille for around €40m last summer and still has four years left on a contract running to 2030, meaning any move would likely require a substantial fee regardless of his reduced role under Luis Enrique.
The Di Gregorio situation carries a note of symmetry. The 28-year-old was Cristiano Giuntoli's first major signing when he joined Juventus for around €20m after being named the Serie A's outstanding goalkeeper at Monza, but he has failed to establish himself as an undisputed number one in Turin.
Monza, for their part, are understood to view a reunion as a sentimental as well as practical solution, with sporting director Filippo Antonelli having first developed the goalkeeper before his move to Juventus in the summer of 2024.
