The 31-year-old has been absent since Everton's Carabao Cup meeting with Newcastle United on October 29. He was initially dropped from the squad after failing to report for a training session, before also missing the Premier League meeting between the sides.
Grealish, who is on loan from Manchester City, did not feature against Coventry on Friday because he is short of match fitness. However, his return to the club's Finch Farm training ground has raised the prospect of a reintegration into first-team training next week.
Everton do not play again until November 23, when they travel to Brentford following the international break.
Moyes has been reluctant to provide details about the situation, although he has indicated that Grealish will be given an opportunity to return.
Asked about the winger's absence ahead of the Coventry fixture, the Everton manager said: "I wouldn't give you the plan but we will be working with Jack again soon."
The latest update, reported by The Athletic, is that Grealish has returned to the training ground and is expected to rejoin the first-team group next week.
His absence has prompted questions about his future at Everton, particularly given that this is his second successive loan spell at the club. He initially joined the Toffees last season and returned on transfer deadline day for another campaign.
Grealish remains contracted to Manchester City, but his deal at the Etihad Stadium expires next summer. A new contract there is considered unlikely, making his next few months important as he looks to establish where his longer-term future lies.
Moyes has previously made clear that he wants more than performances from Grealish. The Everton manager has challenged the former Aston Villa captain to set an example for the club's younger players and use his experience to help them develop.
"I think Jack knows what I expect now. We had lots of conversations last year," Moyes said in September.
"He knows when he comes here there is an opportunity for him to play and to show what he can do. But I also want him to be a senior professional and a role model."
Moyes specifically highlighted the value Grealish could offer to young wide players Tyrique George and Tyler Dibling, pointing to his ability and experience as qualities they could learn from.
"We've got Tyrique and Tyler and if ever you are looking at somebody for how to play as a wide player, Jack Grealish would certainly be one of them. I think both of them could learn an awful lot from Jack and I want him to become that senior citizen amongst them, somebody who teaches them."
The manager also spoke positively about Grealish's understanding of what is required of him, describing the player as more mature in his approach to the game.
The immediate priority is to restore his fitness and bring him back into the group. With Everton's next fixture not until November 23, Grealish has time to work towards being available again, although a return to full training does not automatically guarantee a place in the matchday squad.
