The French forward will arrive on loan with an obligation to buy set at €34 million, on top of an initial €4 million loan fee and a further €12 million in bonuses, according to reports in Italy. It is a deal in which the player's own preference to return to Juventus, rather than pursue other options, is understood to have played a significant role throughout the negotiation.
For Spalletti, it represents a marquee addition, offering quality, pace and depth to the attack, with his early involvement in the club's pre-season tour of Asia seen as important for getting him up to speed with the tactical setup before the league campaign begins.
Juventus were not finished there. On Tuesday afternoon the club also reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Alajbegovic, fending off strong competition from Chelsea and Atalanta, among others. Only the final sign-off from the player's father is understood to be outstanding before the move is completed, with family influence over the decision described as decisive in the closing stages.
Juventus will pay Bayer Leverkusen €30 million plus a further €5 million in bonuses, along with a sell-on percentage on any future transfer. Alajbegovic, 18, spent last season on loan at Red Bull Salzburg, where he scored nine goals, and started 2026 in the spotlight for an entirely different reason: his performances for Bosnia in their World Cup qualifying play-off against Italy in Zenica helped eliminate the Azzurri from contention, a result that ultimately triggered the chain of events leading to Roberto Mancini's return as head coach and Claudio Ranieri's appointment as technical director.
The two deals mark a significant push from Juventus's recruitment leadership, Giovanni Carnevali and Francesco Massara, as the club looks to hand Spalletti as complete a squad as possible before the Asian tour gets under way.
Juventus's transfer business is not expected to end there, with the club's leadership said to remain ready to explore further additions should the right opportunity arise before the summer window closes.
