Yan Diomande has confirmed he will remain at RB Leipzig next season, shutting down transfer talk linking him with Liverpool, PSG, Manchester United and Bayern Munich in a single word.

Asked by Kicker directly whether he would stay at the club, Diomande answered simply: "Yes."

He then qualified the response with a characteristic mix of ambition and gratitude toward the club that took a chance on him.

"I'm at Leipzig and enjoy playing here. But afterwards nobody knows what happens. Everyone has ambitions, and so do I. My dream is to play as high as possible."

Diomande joined RB Leipzig last summer from CD LeganΓ©s for 20 million euros β€” a fee the player himself acknowledged was a significant risk β€” and has delivered one of the most impressive debut Bundesliga campaigns in recent memory, contributing 13 goals and nine assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

His pace, directness and selfless pressing have made him a central figure in Leipzig's return to European competition next season.

Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have all been credited with interest. Leipzig value the left winger at above 100 million euros and have no release clause in his contract, which runs until 2030. The club are now expected to offer Diomande an improved contract and salary as a reward for his breakout season.

Earlier this week, speaking to The Athletic, Diomande had fuelled speculation by saying: "The World Cup is next and after that you never know what can happen."

His latest response to Kicker appears to draw a line under that ambiguity β€” at least for this window.
