Como are reshaping their youth pipeline in the final days of the market, bringing in one of Italy's most talked-about teenage prospects while sending a fringe forward out to Inter Milan's Under-23 side on a permanent deal.
The headline arrival is Ettore Broggian, who is set to leave Vicenza for Como in a deal reported by TrivenetoGoal to be worth around €1m — a significant fee for a player still just 17. The right-sided attacker made his senior debut for Vicenza in October against AlbinoLeffe and had only just signed a contract extension to 2029 in July, a deal that underlined how highly Vicenza rated him before Como's offer changed their plans.
Broggian will join Como's Primavera squad under coach Falsini, with the Lombard club viewing him as one of the standout young talents to emerge from Veneto's youth football scene in recent years.
Moving in the opposite direction is Tommaso Fumagalli, who has left Como to join Inter's Under-23 side on a permanent transfer, signing a contract until 2028 with an option to extend to 2029.
Born in Bellinzago Lombardo on 20 February 2000, Fumagalli began his career in the Giana Erminio academy before a series of loan spells took him to Cosenza, Virtus Entella and Reggiana, where he combined for 61 Serie B appearances and five goals.
He had struggled for regular football at Como since his move there in January 2024, when the club paid to bring him in after he had impressed as a prolific scorer in Serie C, and the switch to Inter's second team gives the 26-year-old a fresh route back to regular first-team football.
The two moves reflect the balancing act many Serie A and B clubs are performing in the market's closing stretch: investing in academy prospects with sell-on potential while moving on senior fringe players who no longer fit into first-team plans, all before Italy's transfer window shuts on 1 September.
