The performances revived his career after a difficult spell at RB Leipzig, from whom Celta exercised a €6m purchase option in the summer of 2025 after a productive loan.
Galatasaray made the first formal move for the Guinea international, but Celta Vigo's sporting director Marco Garcés swiftly rejected the bid. The club have set a clear floor of around €20m and are confident that more substantial interest will follow — a confidence backed by multiple parties circling the player.
