The Paris Saint-Germain forward is set to fly to Merseyside to complete the formalities of a £120m move to Anfield, with Andoni Iraola's side having chased the France international for much of the summer. Ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline, they appear to have finally got their man.
Barber Enzo Dias, whose studio is located around 45 minutes east of PSG's Parc des Princes home, has been Barcola's hairdresser of choice for some time. In an Instagram story showing off the 23-year-old's latest trim, Dias wrote: "Last cut before Liverpool."
He later posted the same image separately, adding: "Last ride for @bradley_dls before he leaves."
Dias, who has also shared selfies with goalkeeper Keylor Navas and defender Willian Pacho, went on to share a picture of a Barcola PSG shirt hanging in his studio, captioned: "Thank you for everything my brother."
Barcola is set to become Liverpool's marquee signing of the summer and the second-most expensive addition in the club's history, behind only the £125m spent on Alexander Isak from Newcastle United last year.
The France international scored 13 goals in 49 appearances for PSG last season as the French champions retained both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, though he often found himself competing with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue for a starting berth.
His arrival is expected to have knock-on effects elsewhere in Liverpool's attack, with Cody Gakpo's Anfield future now in doubt amid continued interest from both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Barcola will sign a contract until 2031 once the move is finalised, three years after first joining PSG from Lyon in 2023 for around £42m.
Liverpool's pursuit accelerated after an earlier move for Yan Diomande collapsed, with the club's recruitment team turning their full attention to Barcola as a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah on the right flank.
The agreed package, reported to be worth around £120m in total with more than £100m guaranteed, represents a significant climbdown from PSG's original valuation of closer to £145m, following talks between Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes and PSG's hierarchy at this week's Champions League draw in Monaco.
Should the deal go through as expected, it would take Liverpool's outlay since the end of last season past £660m, following the earlier signing of Florian Wirtz for £116.5m.
