Mike, whose contract is due to convert into a full professional deal when he turns 18 in September, fully took part in Bayern's short training camp at Tegernsee, a positive sign after such a long spell out, and training with the reserves in the fourth-tier Regionalliga Bayern is viewed as a natural next step in his recovery before any loan move is finalised.
Should a deal be agreed, Mike would be able to join his new club immediately without the disruption of travelling to Asia first.
