The 18-year-old joined Tottenham in the summer of 2025, having previously spent eight years in Manchester City’s academy after arriving there at the age of eight.
Doran made his Under-18 Premier League debut for Spurs in March 2026, featuring in a 4-1 victory away to Birmingham City. His progress continued over the summer when he was given his first opportunity at Under-21 level.
The goalkeeper made an immediate impression during a pre-season fixture against Spanish side Algeciras CF, saving three penalties in a shootout to help Tottenham secure victory.
That performance provided a memorable introduction to football at Under-21 level and added to the experience he had already gained with the younger age groups.
Doran’s move to Spurs followed his time at Manchester City, where he had been part of the academy since childhood. He was involved with City's Under-16s during the 2024/25 season and was named among the substitutes for six Under-18 Premier League matches before making the switch to north London.
His first-team opportunities at Tottenham have come through the academy pathway, with his competitive Under-18 debut arriving in the second half of the 2025/26 campaign.
The professional contract is an important step in that progression, rewarding the goalkeeper for his development since arriving at the club and securing his future as he continues to work towards regular involvement at higher levels.
Tottenham have confirmed the agreement without disclosing its length. The club welcomed the milestone and congratulated Doran on signing his first professional deal.
For the goalkeeper, the next challenge will be to build on his early experiences with the Under-18s and Under-21s. His penalty-saving display in Spain offered an encouraging indication of his ability under pressure, while the new contract gives him a platform to continue his development within the Spurs academy.
