The 27-year-old Egypt international joins former Manchester City teammate Savio at Spurs, following the Brazilian's own move to north London for an initial £75m on Tuesday. Marmoush said the project sold itself once he spoke with manager Roberto De Zerbi.
"Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and the project was very attractive to me," he said. "I've spoken with the head coach, I loved what he had to say and I'm sure our passion for the game will go very well together."
Speaking in his first interview with the club, Marmoush described the move as the culmination of an eventful few months in his personal life.
"It feels amazing. I'm very happy to be here, so excited to start with the team and can't wait to meet all of the fans and start playing all together on the pitch," he said.
"My family's reaction has been amazing. My wife is so happy to be here also in London and for me to be in this club, to see me happy and I'm very happy to be here. It's been an amazing summer. The wedding, of course, the best day of my life. Coming here, I'd say it's been an amazing summer to finish it off strong, and I can't wait to get started."
Marmoush joined City under Pep Guardiola in January 2025 following a prolific spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, and burst into life in England with seven goals in his opening 16 Premier League appearances, including a hat-trick against Newcastle and the 2024-25 Goal of the Season winner against Bournemouth. He went on to win the Carabao Cup and FA Cup during his time at the Etihad Stadium. He said he regards De Zerbi as one of the best coaches in world football.
"I'm sure he's up there, one of the best coaches in the world for sure. I think our passion for the game will be very good together and I'm so excited to start with him," Marmoush said. "I'd say I bring pace, goals, a lot of passion and love for the team, for the game. I would say these four things. I just can't wait to be in front of the fans and start playing the game."
