"I had the impression that it was one of the biggest clubs in the world. But when you're actually part of it, you only realise how big it truly is. It was even bigger than I expected — everything checks out, from the smallest to the biggest details.
"I expected it to be big, but it's even bigger than I thought," Saibari said. The Morocco international completed a €50m move from PSV Eindhoven this summer and has quickly felt at home in Munich.
"The staff and the players have helped me feel welcome. I feel at home here, that's why I'm very happy," he said.
Saibari made his Bayern debut in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund, a match Bayern won 2-1, giving him a trophy before he had even played a competitive league fixture for his new club.
The 25-year-old arrives on the back of a breakout World Cup with Morocco — including a penalty shootout winner against the Netherlands — and three Eredivisie titles at PSV, where he was voted the league's Player of the Year in his final season, recording 42 goals and 29 assists across his time in Eindhoven before completing the move to Bavaria.
Sporting director Max Eberl described the signing as the product of long-term planning rather than a reaction to Saibari's World Cup form.
Bayern had made their interest clear to the player well before the tournament, giving them a head start over other clubs once his performances in North America turned him into one of the summer's most sought-after attacking talents.
