Richarlison has lifted the lid on multiple failed attempts to join Paris Saint-Germain, revealing that his admiration for Neymar runs so deep that the Brazilian idol's face is permanently inked across his back.

Speaking to France Football, the Tottenham forward explained that PSG made contact on several occasions — each time tied to the uncertainty around Kylian MbappĂ©'s future at the club.

"I have had contact with PSG on several occasions. Every time Mbappé was about to leave, the directors approached me."

The interest went beyond initial conversations.

"Once, my agent even went to discuss things in the offices in Paris."

A move to the French capital was more than a career ambition for Richarlison. Playing alongside Neymar was something the two Brazilians had spoken about directly during international gatherings with the Seleção.

"I wanted to go there, we talked about it together with Neymar during the Selecao gatherings. It didn't work out, unfortunately, it's a shame."

He did not hide his disappointment at how close it came.

"It would have been incredible to play in Paris with him and the other Brazilians."

When French media asked about his back tattoo — a mural featuring himself alongside Ronaldo and Neymar, with a Brazilian flag behind them — Richarlison explained the depth of feeling behind it.

"I love Neymar with all my heart. I got Neymar's face tattooed on my back. I also have Ronaldo and Pelé's signature."

The tribute to Pelé carries particular weight.

"One day, Pelé told me that I had made Brazil smile. Coming from the King, it was magical. I got that phrase tattooed on my back, with his dedication."

Richarlison has scored nine times this season for a Tottenham side fighting against relegation under new manager Roberto De Zerbi. The PSG dream never materialised — but it is written on his skin for life.
