Real Betis have never sold more season tickets than this summer, closing renewals with a record 57,650 members.

The total surpasses last season's previous high of 57,000, itself capped at the time, and reflects the growing pull of a club preparing for a return to the Champions League for the first time in 21 years.

In a statement, Betis highlighted the commitment shown by supporters throughout the process, which the club said was again marked by strong demand that pushed the numbers beyond the previous campaign's total, and thanked members for the trust placed in a season defined by the club's long-awaited European comeback.

Members who have not yet renewed still have a window to do so: Betis has extended the deadline for Soy Bético cards until 30 August, giving remaining supporters the chance to remain part of what the club calls the green-and-white family for the new campaign.

The record comes just days before Betis play their first official match at La Cartuja this season, hosting Real Sociedad in Friday's league opener at 9pm local time.

Betis's return to continental football followed a fifth-placed finish in La Liga last season on 60 points, securing Champions League qualification via Spain's European Performance Spot, and the surge in season-ticket demand reflects the scale of anticipation around a campaign that will see European nights back at the club's home ground for the first time in more than two decades.

The Andalusian side have steadily built their membership base in recent years as results on the pitch have improved, with each of the past several seasons setting a new numerus clausus ceiling as demand has outstripped the previous year's allocation.
