Arnau Tenas has admitted he would welcome a return to Barcelona after beginning a new chapter with Mallorca following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper, who came through Barcelona’s academy before moving to PSG, has made eight appearances for Mallorca since joining the club.

Tenas was asked about the possibility of returning to his former club and made no attempt to hide his feelings about a potential reunion.

“If you tell me that I wouldn't want to return to Barça, I would be lying,” Tenas told Cadena SER.

“It would be like returning home.”

The goalkeeper also drew comparisons between the demands of playing for Barcelona and PSG, two clubs where pressure and expectations are particularly high.

“With PSG there are many parallels between the Parisian side and Barça in terms of pressure and movement, especially further forward,” he said.

Tenas left Barcelona without making a first-team appearance after progressing through the club’s youth system.

He subsequently spent two seasons with PSG, where opportunities were limited, before moving to Mallorca in search of regular first-team football.

His comments leave open the possibility of a future return to Camp Nou, although there is currently no indication that Barcelona are preparing a move for their former academy goalkeeper.

For now, Tenas is focused on establishing himself with Mallorca after making the move back to Spain.
