Barcelona are among five major clubs tracking Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Justin Ejodamen, with the 15-year-old already being compared with former BVB star Jude Bellingham.

Ehikioya Ejodamen is attracting interest from Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan, Arsenal and Chelsea as Borussia Dortmund prepare for a battle over the highly rated 15-year-old midfielder.

Dortmund have built a reputation for developing young players into elite footballers, with Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham among the most successful recent examples.

Ejodamen is now being viewed as another potential academy breakthrough. The Italian midfielder was born on 19 April 2011 and has already established himself with Dortmund's Under-16 side despite being only 15.

The right-footed player operates in a similar position to Bellingham and has drawn comparisons with the England international because of his technical ability, physical qualities and maturity.

Ejodamen can also represent Germany and Nigeria, but he currently plays international football for Italy at Under-16 level.

His reputation grew further after an impressive display at the RondOm BZS Youth Trophy Cup in the Netherlands, where he scored a remarkable goal from the halfway line.

Dortmund have already identified him as a player to develop over the coming years and want to secure his future before the competition for his signature intensifies.

According to Sport, Barcelona are closely monitoring the midfielder, but the Catalan club face competition from Juventus and AC Milan.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also reportedly interested. However, English clubs face an additional restriction because they would not be able to sign Ejodamen until he turns 18, while clubs from European Union countries could potentially move for him when he reaches 16.

That gives Barcelona, Juventus and Milan an advantage in the short term, although Dortmund will hope to prevent the situation developing into a full-scale transfer battle.

Ejodamen has already been equipped by Puma from a young age and is regarded inside Dortmund as a player with significant commercial and sporting potential.

The comparison with Bellingham is naturally flattering, but Dortmund will be hoping the teenager can continue developing without the pressure that comes with such a label.

For now, the Bundesliga club's priority is to keep him in their academy and secure his long-term future before Europe's biggest clubs have an opportunity to make their interest more concrete.
