Jamal Iddrissou stood out among the group that travelled with the squad. The 2007-born forward, born in Brescia and physically imposing, scored six goals and provided one assist last season, and his blend of power, ball-carrying and ability to attack space has already generated outside interest, positioning him as both a potential first-team option and an asset with resale value for Inter.
Where Iddrissou represents raw physical potential in attack, centre-back Leonardo Bovio is a different kind of prospect. Born in 2008 and standing 1.87m, Bovio made 23 Primavera appearances and scored twice last season, but the more telling detail is the composure he showed lining up alongside senior figures such as Benjamin Pavard and Alessandro Bastoni - no small feat for a defender his age.
Bovio has already signed a contract extension with the club, a sign of the faith Inter's hierarchy have placed in him.
A handful of players have already had a taste of first-team football and start from a different level.
Slovenian playmaker Luka Topalovic, born in 2006, is probably the most valuable of the group commercially, having made 34 appearances for Inter Milan's Under-23 side last season with four goals and six assists in Serie C, plus one Serie A appearance in which he registered an assist.
Mattia Mosconi, a 2007-born forward capable of playing out wide, added 19 Primavera appearances and three goals alongside five Serie C outings and two in Serie A, plus two goals and three assists in seven Youth League matches.
Matteo Lavelli, born in 2006, made 32 appearances for the Under-23 side, scoring once, and also made his Serie A debut.
None of the five emerged from the tour as the finished article, but the trip offered clear indications of their development. It will now fall to the club to decide the best path for each - continued involvement with the Under-23 side, a loan move, or integration into Chivu's senior squad - with Inter increasingly aware that part of their future may already be on the books rather than out in the transfer market.
