Lorenzo Palmisani attracted interest from Juventus during the summer, with agent Federico Pastorello confirming that the goalkeeper was considered as a possible No.2 behind Guglielmo Vicario.

The Frosinone goalkeeper has emerged as one of the revelations of the season, prompting interest after an impressive performance against Como.

Pastorello told SportMediaset that Juventus were among the clubs to make an approach during the summer, alongside other foreign and Premier League sides.

“Juventus had already made an approach this summer, like many other foreign clubs and also clubs from the Premier League,” Pastorello said.

He explained that Juventus had considered whether to bring Palmisani to Turin as the deputy to Vicario, but ultimately the player’s need for regular football was a decisive consideration.

“Juventus had a moment when they could decide whether to take him as the No.2 behind Vicario, which would have been an opportunity,” Pastorello said. “But a boy so young and so good has to play.”

Pastorello therefore considers Juventus to be one of the possibilities for Palmisani’s future, while stopping short of suggesting that a move is close.

“Juventus, let's say, are in the pool of possibilities. Then we will see what happens,” he said.

The agent also discussed the future of Alex Meret, whose contract with Napoli is due to expire at the end of the season.

Meret has returned from injury and remains part of Napoli’s plans, but there is currently no signed renewal agreement.

Pastorello says he will listen to offers for the goalkeeper while acknowledging that Meret’s relationship with Napoli could ultimately influence the outcome.

“We will certainly be open to listening to the opportunities that arise,” he said.

However, Pastorello believes staying at Napoli remains a realistic possibility if the club wants to retain the goalkeeper.

“If I had to bet on something, I would say that Alex is so attached to that environment that it is not excluded that he could stay, obviously if Napoli want him to,” he said.

The comments leave both goalkeepers with futures to be resolved, although Pastorello’s assessment of Palmisani suggests the priority for the young Frosinone player is continued first-team football rather than an immediate move to become a substitute.
