The result offered an encouraging sign for United's development squad ahead of a season in which several of the club's brightest academy prospects will be expected to push for regular Under-21s football and, eventually, senior opportunities.
United agreed a deal for the highly rated defensive midfielder last year, but the move could not be finalised until Orozco turned 18 earlier this summer. The Colombian, who captains his country's Under-17s, was recruited from Fortaleza after making just five senior appearances for the Brazilian club, with his most recent competitive outing coming in a Copa Colombia draw with Cúcuta Deportivo in May.

Orozco's development path points toward patience regardless of that senior recruitment, with the Under-21s set to begin their competitive campaign against Ipswich on August 24, giving the teenager a first real opportunity to build on his promising early form in front of a watching crowd.
