Bazoumana Touré has become one of the most coveted young wingers in European football, and Hoffenheim's sporting director has made clear that any club wanting him will need to pay a price the German club has never seen before.

The 20-year-old Ivorian has registered three goals and eleven assists in 25 Bundesliga appearances this season after joining Hoffenheim from Hammarby IF in January 2025 for around €10 million.

Bild reported this week that Liverpool are seriously considering Touré as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, who will leave Anfield at the end of the season. Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked.

Sporting director Andreas Schicker confirmed the interest without naming specific clubs — but left no doubt about Hoffenheim's position.

"Bazou has developed very well. We brought him from Sweden a year and a half ago. You can see week after week what qualities he brings."

He was equally clear on what it would take to sign him.

"With him it's like this: if there is interest — and it's noticeable because he delivers every week — then it has to be at a level that Hoffenheim has not seen before."

Liverpool scouts have watched Touré on multiple occasions this season, including during Ivory Coast's 1-0 friendly win over Scotland during the recent international break. Reports suggest a fee in the region of €40 million is under discussion, though Hoffenheim's internal valuation has been higher.

Touré's journey to the Bundesliga was rapid. He made his mark at Hammarby in Sweden — eight goals and four assists in 23 Allsvenskan matches — before Hoffenheim moved quickly to sign him. He has since become one of the most assist-heavy wingers in Germany, leading the Bundesliga in sprints this season with 632.

He is contracted until 2029 with no release clause, leaving Hoffenheim in full control. His contract, Schicker's warning, and a World Cup summer ahead all point in one direction — his price will only rise.
