Liverpool have set a 35 million pound asking price for Curtis Jones as Inter Milan prepare a renewed bid this summer after contract talks at Anfield stalled, per The Times.

Jones enters the final year of his contract in July, having last extended his deal in 2022. Liverpool refused to sanction a January move, but with no new agreement in sight, a permanent sale this summer is now a realistic outcome.

Inter Milan had originally approached Liverpool in January with a loan-to-buy proposal worth around 40 million euros; that deal collapsed when Liverpool declined to let the player leave.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed Inter's continued interest in April, writing that "they remain keen, depending on price tag." The club's sporting staff view Jones as an ideal profile โ€” a versatile midfielder capable of operating across several roles โ€” and Inter's double-winning season under Cristian Chivu has left them with the financial confidence to pursue acquisitions of this level.

Jones has made 48 appearances across all competitions this season, contributing two goals and three assists, with 27 starts. He has been used in midfield and at right-back by Slot across the campaign. Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with interest, though Spurs' relegation battle complicates any approach from them.

According to Sportitalia, Jones and his representatives have given the green light to a move to Inter. Liverpool's preference is to avoid losing him for nothing next summer, making this window the club's only realistic opportunity to recoup a significant fee.
