The 27-year-old centre-back, who joined Villa from Brentford in the summer of 2019 and has been one of the club's most consistent performers through their transformation under Unai Emery, spoke to TNT Sports pitchside at the Tupras Stadium with the trophy and the Istanbul night behind him.
He acknowledged the disbelief that still lingered even with a winner's medal around his neck.
"I don't know how I feel. I don't think it's sunk in yet. I was saying not long ago how much of a journey it's been. Seven years at this club, lots of ups and downs. To finally bring back some silverware for club and fans, it's amazing. It's something I can't really describe."
He had written a letter to supporters ahead of the final with a single word of advice.
"If you saw my letter I said 'believe'. If you did — thank you. This is for you."
Konsa joined Aston Villa during the first full season back in the Premier League following the club's promotion from the Championship.
He has seen the playing squad, the management structure and the ownership transform entirely around him, yet remained a constant — one of a nucleus of players who have formed the identity of this Villa side across multiple European campaigns.
The club had come close to this moment before. A Conference League semi-final exit against Olympiakos in 2024 and a Champions League quarter-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain last season both felt like steps on a road that was heading somewhere. In Istanbul, they arrived.
Villa were watched by Prince William, a lifelong supporter, who had travelled to Turkey for the occasion and celebrated openly in the stands, posting on social media afterwards to congratulate the players and staff on what he called an amazing night.
Konsa's message to the away end at full time was brief and direct: all of this was for the travelling supporters who had made the journey and the many thousands more who watched from Birmingham.
"Look what it means to the fans, the players, some of us who've been here for so long. Fans have been with us through thick and thin, travelled everywhere. This is for them."
