The structure of the move changed at the last moment: rather than the loan-with-obligation-to-buy arrangement previously agreed, Juventus have instead struck a straight permanent deal with Paris Saint-Germain worth €38m plus a further €12m in bonuses, a couple of million more than the earlier structure but one that removed any lingering complications.
Kolo Muani, 27, is due in Turin for a medical, with chief executive Giovanni Carnevali having driven the deal to its conclusion after weeks of stop-start talks with PSG. The forward previously spent time on loan at Juventus and Tottenham after joining PSG for €93m in 2023, and has made no secret of wanting a return to Turin.
Bosnian winger Kerim Alajbegovic has already touched down in the city as Juventus' other attacking reinforcement, arriving from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth around €30m plus bonuses after the club won out over a host of rivals, including Chelsea.
Both additions reflect the determination of Juventus' hierarchy to give head coach Luciano Spalletti the attacking options he has asked for this summer.
With the forward line all but finalised, Juventus are set to turn their focus to the goalkeeper position, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, with Tottenham's Guglielmo Vicario emerging as the most realistic option ahead of Parma's Zion Suzuki and Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez, talks for whom have stalled.
Vicario has fallen out of favour under Roberto De Zerbi at Tottenham, and the Italian international's path back to Serie A, where he previously played for Empoli and Cagliari, is seen internally as the most achievable of the three routes being explored by Carnevali and chief football officer Frederic Massara.
Spalletti, who worked with Vicario during his time as Italy manager, has previously expressed some reservations about the goalkeeper. "He's an experienced goalkeeper who has been through a lot. A strong one. You have to understand why a club like Tottenham decided to leave him out. What their assessments were..."
Spalletti said, a comment that suggests any move for Vicario would come with the coach wanting reassurance over exactly why his Tottenham career stalled before signing off on a deal.
