Juventus could pursue two players sharing the same surname and the same agent this summer, with Tuttosport reporting that António Silva has re-entered the club's thinking alongside the ongoing pursuit of Bernardo Silva.

António Silva, 22, is a centre-back contracted to Benfica until June 2027, but the Portuguese club are prepared to sell this summer to avoid losing him for free.

Juventus have followed the defender since the tenure of former sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and are ready to return for him if a place opens up in their defensive line. Newcastle United are also among the clubs tracking him.

Agent Jorge Mendes represents both players and has been in regular dialogue with the Juventus hierarchy.

The connection proved valuable in the arrivals of Francisco Conceição and Bernardo's ongoing negotiations, and could again prove decisive for António. Mendes previously said publicly that both the player and the club had mutual interest, with Benfica holding the final decision.

The priority at Juventus remains Bernardo Silva, the 31-year-old Manchester City captain leaving on a free transfer this summer.

Barcelona represent the main competition for the midfielder, though Juventus believe their sporting project under Luciano Spalletti offers a compelling case.
