Sevilla and Estrela Amadora announced the transfer on Monday, closing the book on a spell that began in the summer of 2019 when Jordán arrived from SD Eibar.
Across six seasons in Nervión, interrupted by a 2024-25 loan at Deportivo Alavés, the 32-year-old made 203 official appearances: 139 in LaLiga, 23 in the Copa del Rey, 21 in the Champions League, 18 in the Europa League and two in the UEFA Super Cup.
Jordán arrived at Sevilla for a fee of around €14 million, one of two marquee signings, alongside Diego Carlos, that kicked off Monchi's second spell as the club's sporting director. He is the last remaining player from the squad that won the 2020 Europa League in Cologne under Julen Lopetegui, with Nemanja Gudelj's own departure earlier this year severing the final other link to that title-winning side.
His time in Seville was not without difficulty. In January 2022, Jordán was struck by an object thrown from the stands during a Copa del Rey derby against Real Betis at the Benito Villamarín, an incident that suspended the match and left it to be completed the following day.
It marked a turning point in an already strained relationship between the two clubs' supporters, and came shortly after Jordán had signed a contract extension through 2027.
The move to Portugal represents the latest step in Sevilla's effort to trim their wage bill under sporting director José Ignacio Navarro, following a pre-season in which Jordán had fallen outside head coach Luis García Plaza's plans.
He becomes the latest experienced departure from a Sevilla squad being reshaped around younger, cheaper options as the club works to balance its finances ahead of the new campaign. Jordán will sign a two-year contract in Lisbon, with Sevilla continuing to cover part of his wages under the terms of the exit as the club works through a wider round of squad departures this summer.
