Real Sociedad dominated the first half at Anoeta and should have had the game won by the break, but Celta Vigo grew into the contest after the interval to salvage a point that leaves both sides still searching for their first win of the campaign.
Claudio Giráldez accepted the draw as a fair outcome given how the game split into two distinct halves.
"It's obvious they were superior in the first half, and we were in the second — one half each," the Celta head coach said.
"My sense is that we're in a moment where we're really struggling to finish and get our decisions right in front of goal.
"In each half we had four or five situations that, for me, were completely clear-cut, and none of them ended up even forcing a save."
Giráldez pointed to a lack of composure rather than a lack of chances as his side's central problem.
"We're not getting those situations right at the moment, we're not clicking," he said. "We'll come good eventually, we just need to stay calm." He praised his team's growth as the match wore on, admitting Celta had needed to ride out spells of pressure. "I think the team matured well into the game, we had to suffer through a lot of it, we weren't adjusting well," he said.
"We were a bit fearful going forward, and we did it better in the second half." Debutant Driouech's introduction drew a mixed verdict: "He needs to be in better physical shape, maybe we gave him too many minutes given his unusual pre-season. But it shows he's a player capable of attacking space from inside."
Pellegrino Matarazzo watched the game from the stands, serving a touchline ban following his sending-off against Espanyol, and shared Giráldez's sense of a fair if unsatisfying result.
"It's a deserved point for both sides," the Real Sociedad head coach said. "We had one very clear chance in the first half, and if we'd scored it, the game might have developed differently. We didn't let them create chances, and in the second half we lacked speed. But there's a lot to improve."
Asked about his side's form early in the season, Matarazzo struck a similarly measured tone.
"I'm generally happy with the potential this team has, even though there's a lot to improve," he said. "In recent weeks we've focused on defending and set pieces — we always include attack, but this time less so." He also gave his view on a penalty appeal from Guedes late on: "It looks like a penalty to me, but I don't want to complain. Sometimes decisions go for you, sometimes for your opponent."
