Deportivo La Coruna will make at least three more signings this summer, sporting director Fernando Soriano confirmed at the presentation of new arrival Teun Gijselhart.

"Three more will definitely come. After that we'll see, we've only just started. I don't want you to fixate on a number. Realistically there will be three more additions. From there we'll look at performance in pre-season matches and whatever needs come up."

Soriano indicated the club are only looking to add one recognised centre-forward, with the position currently shared between Zakaria Eddahchouri and Bil Nsongo.

"Two forwards? In principle we'll go with one and then we'll assess things during pre-season. We trust in Bil and in Zaka. Bil has taken a step forward and is doing very well. Zaka has also made an important step physically and mentally."

The sporting director stressed that Deportivo would not need to sell any of their more valuable players to fund the incoming business.

"There is no need to sell any player to cover the investment in what's coming."

Soriano also confirmed the club were weighing up loan exits for several members of the squad, including Charlie Patiño.

"We're discussing the option of him going out on loan elsewhere to get more continuity and minutes, we'll assess it as the market develops. We're not ruling out Charlie leaving so he can build up his confidence and game time."

On the recovery of two of the squad's key players, David Mella and Yeremay Hernandez, Soriano said their progress remained on track despite a slower timeline than hoped.

"These are processes we're taking into account, we knew it could be a bit slower. David had surgery and because of the promotion push there was a spell without much rehabilitation. It's the same with Yere, we knew it would be slow. He's on a positive path."

Deportivo's business so far this summer includes the arrival of Gijselhart, with Soriano's comments suggesting further reinforcements are expected to follow before the club's La Liga return. Both Mella and Hernandez are expected to be assessed further as pre-season progresses, with the club taking a cautious approach to their respective recoveries.
